Introducing DR. MARK ADICKES, offensive lineman for the Washington Redskins, and part of their 1991 Super Bowl Championship team. He was also part of the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Los Angeles Express, where he played with Steve Young.

Before that he was part of Baylor University Varsity Football 1979-1983; All-conference football 1982-1983; Consensus All-American football 1983; Team captain Baylor 1983; Inducted Baylor sports Hall of Fame 1998; Participated in Hula Bowl and Senior Bowl all-star games 1983.

A back injury convinced Mark it was time to hang up his cleats. It took the stamina of a pro-athlete to prepare for medical school: two years of science and math. Scoring in the top five percent on his MCATs, he was accepted to Harvard Medical School. To cap off his Harvard experience, Dr Adickes was selected to speak at graduation.

Mark continued his education at the Mayo Clinic, where he was selected as Chief Resident where he went on to be the Administrative Chief Resident. His fellowship was spent with Dr. Richard Steadman at the prestigious Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado. Dr. Adickes is now the Co-Director of the Roger Clemons Institute for Sports Medicine at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas.
